One difference- her monogram will be sCp. I am also doing the pink polka dots on the right and left instead of green. WHOOOO HOOOO!!! Thanks to my sweet Aunt Beth for buying this for our baby girl!!!!

Shall we CATCH up!

I know, I know. I have been MIA. I thought I would quit the blog for a while but you all voiced your opinions and I am now BACK! The true reason--- I am lazy and haven't been downloading pictures and I am super busy! Ya, ya.. we all are.

So Whitney came to visit during LABOR DAY! Um that was over a month a go. We had fun hanging on the lake, eating sushi (in our bathing suits), and going to the Clemson game. I so wish she would just move here!!! We had so much fun and acted like we were back in college. Why is it that some friends just cause you to think you are 21 again? My kidneys hurt after she left :)

We started out our Saturday by going to the ESSO club before the game. You have to... its tradition.

Then we ventured over to Brent and Whitney Comer's tailgate. I look like a whale in my pics with them so they are not being posted.
Oh and then we saw Drew! He was working and hadn't seen me sport the cowboy boots. Again... Whitney brought out old days for me. I use to wear them with tight jeans but this arrrss hasn't seen tight jeans in a long time! Drew about had a heart attack when he saw me in boots!
We got to our seats and Drew and Roger followed us....

Then we looked down and Drew was on the field. He never stays in one place long. (He has his head down, bottom middle screen. )

We ended our weekend with brunch downtown at Soby's. I had the best time ever. Thanks again Fatty! That is the awful name Whitney and I have called each other since high school.

The next weekend Drew and I headed to GA to root the SC Gamecocks on.

The next morning I was off to Miami. Those pics coming soon!

One of the best days of my life....

We are going to be parents!!!! Drew and I have been matched with a couple for our adoption!!! We met with the birth parents this morning and everything was perfect. They have our same interests, etc. It is amazing how God works. They have 2 due dates b/c of 2 different ultrasounds. December 28 and Jan. 9. I’m going with the one in December :)

The baby wouldn’t cooperate on the ultrasound this week so we are not sure if we are getting a boy or a girl. The birthmother will be going back to the doctor in 2-3 weeks. The baby will be born in Greenville, SC so we don’t have to live in a hotel for 2 weeks. WHOO HOOO!!!!

We are so excited and so blessed. Thank you for all your prayers. They worked!

The big REVEAL... take 2!

In case some of you didn't catch the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT that I posted a few weeks ago. WE ARE ADOPTING A BABY!!!! I had to take off the big announcement due to some worry about lurkers but at this point I am using my freedom of speech and screaming to the mountain tops with excitement!!!! We are finally going to be RENTS, parentals, PARENTS!!! Drew and I have been through H-E-L-L the last 2 years and we feel that God has lead us to the this very peaceful decision.

So where do things stand? We have completed our home study (meetings with social worker, loads of paperwork including FBI finger printing, home visits, etc.) So CHECK that off the list. Next step- WE WAIT and have been WAITING already for 2.5 months. I have no patience and this is about to kill me!!!! We have had 2 near matches, but like anything else... this is in God's hands and we feel a lot of peace in that. Yes, we were bummed but life goes on and we know our baby is right around the corner. AMEN!

I am a planner so as soon as we decided we were adopting I got in shopping mode. We have crib (Pottery Barn of course) and high chair courtesy of my step sisters. We went ahead and bought a fabulous stroller (everyone and their brother has it b/c I have been able to point it out to Drew 101 times in the last month). It still is in the box in our garage b/c we COULD be blessed with twins and I don't want to open a single stroller if I might need a double. I called my mother last week to inform her that my pack in play was on sale and she needed to purchase it right away. CHECK that off the list b/c my impatient self got her credit card number and purchased it myself! My Mom, Helen, and Madison are throwing us a shower in Greenville on the 20th. YAY! We only invited friends and family in the area so no getting upset Knoxville gals! I know ya'll are throwing me one there so I didn't want to invite you to this one. Okay?! Not really, but it's just easier to do one here and one or two back home. Oh and we did purchase some bottles, diapers, onesies, etc in case we get a call tomorrow. We also have a portable bed b/c we will spend 2 weeks in a hotel room once we get the babe! Yes, kill me but that is what you have to do if you adopt out of state. Me, hubs, and a newborn in a 12x12 room for 2 weeks... oh my!

Boy or girl you ask? We said either!

Names I like: A LOT
Names we agree on? NONE!
Problem: yes!

We appreciate all your love and support. This is a roller coaster but hey we have been riding one for 2 years so why not jump on another one!!!!

Big wedding fun!

This past weekend we went to Charlotte for Drew's cousin Neely's wedding to Mr. Jack Purcell. It was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings I have been to. Neely looked amazing...doesnt her dress look like it was made for her?! I told her in my next life I am choosing to look like her :) Drew and I ended up going on Friday so we could spend some quality time together. So our quality time turned out to be a fabulous dinner at Flemmings Steakhouse and then a night of acting like we were back in college... we went dancing, went to a dualing piano bar, and even ate ice cream at midnight. We had so much fun with all of Drew's family and loved celebrating with Neely and Jack! Congrats to them!!!!

Do you think Miss Madison Cawood could be any prettier? She is turning 15 next week. Beautiful girl!

Drew and Madison dancing the night away...

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Jack Purcell

They had the most amazing cupcakes. Truly the best cake I have ever eaten and I have eaten a lot of cake!

Madison had so much fun dancing with the grooms youngest brother Robbie. They were the same age and hung out the entire night. It was priceless.

at one point I looked over and all of Neely and Jack's friends were lifting them up in chairs. No they are not Jewish or Greek :) Too funny!

Boston

Drew and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary in Boston on July 28th. He happened to have a conference over our anniversary so we decided to spend it in Boston this year.

Our hotel- The Copley Square Hotel. Our first room was so tiny and over a nightclub. That didn't work so the next night they upgraded us to fabulous large room with a bathroom we could actually fit in!
Our anniversary night we had dinner at Bonfire. I look a little greasy due to the fact that I worked all day in the heat...

After dinner we went to see Blue Man Group. I hated it and Drew loved it. Go figure! Those blue men freaked me out!!!

On Sunday we went to a SOX game. It was 900 degrees so we mostly spent our time walking around, eating all the yummy food, and shopping in the huge gift shop.

One Saturday (I'm going backwards) we did a boat cruise to all the islands in the harbor. So neat!

Drew with his conference badge...hehe
