Say it's your BIRTHDAY!!!!

I celebrated my 33rd birthday on the 17th. Man I feel so OLD! For some reason for the last 6 months I keep telling people I am 31. Drew has reminded me a thousand times that I am not 31 but instead 32. Darn it...I feel like I skipped a birthday b/c now I have to go from telling people I am 31 to 33! Geeze this getting old stuff stinks!

When I got home Thursday night Drew surprised me with this YUMMY Coldstone Creamery Red Velvet/Birthday Cake flavored ice cream cake! Since I was a child I have ALWAYS had an ice cream cake for my birthday. Thank goodness for Drew..he has carried on the tradition every year.

On Friday (my b-day) we woke up and Drew informed me we would be going somewhere special for my birthday! YAY! I love/hate surprises. So that afternoon we hopped in the car and went to:
Haha! FUNNY! That was not the surprise thank goodness! We did have some great wings though...

We drove a little further and I saw this.....

All I can say is FABULOUS!!!!

We spent time at the infinity pool over looking Lake Oconee.... You cannot tell where the pool ends and the lake starts.

We had a fabulous steak dinner at Linger Longer

We even grilled out s'mores

Pool time after my spa visit

The Ritz even remembered it was my birthday...

Chillin' with a cold beer on our back porch

The beautiful resort!

Thanks to my hubs for a WONDERFUL 33rd birthday!!!

Congrats to the hubs!!!

Drew and his partner in crime Joe took off last week to turn in a bid for the Citadel AND they got it!!!! Drew can now add The Citadel to his list of accounts. I am so proud of him and we are both so excited. YAY DREW AND JOE!!!!!

Today a lot of bloggers are participating in a Blog Hop. Today is favorite picture day....

Our wedding.. July 28, 2007. Mount Pleasant, SC. It was 900 degrees at our reception but it still wasn't too HOT to keep us from dancing the night away. I love this picture of Drew laughing at me while I strut my stuff....

One fine man

William Parker Lennon

Unfortunately we got a call last week with the news that my Grandfather had taken a turn for the worst. He has been sick for a couple of years and on June 27th it was time for him to head to heaven. I was extremely close with this man I called Papa. He was my mother's father and lived to be 90 years old! A mere 6 days after his death was what would have been my grandmother and his 66 year anniversary. Pretty amazing I think! All the family came together and during his memorial the grandchildren (myself included) read some of his favorite poems. He loved poetry and it was a great way to celebrate something he loved so much. We love him dearly and will miss him everyday. RIP my sweet Papa!

What's been going on....

Drew and I sat around Friday night contemplating a vacation spot for our 2nd year anniversary. We came up with the ATLANTIS in the Bahamas!!! I pulled out our passports and realized his expired in 4 days and mine had my maiden name on it. We are in a time crunch b/c our anniversary is next month so we took off to Walgreens to get passport pics made. I was first and the camera man made it very clear that I was NOT to smile. My bad! Drew was next and this was the crazy face he made for his passport. I kid you not! I died laughing when we got the pics...

Robin came to visit me on Saturday while Drew was working a big show in Charleston. My camera broke (not my fancy one thank goodness) so these lovely photos are from my Iphone. We had no one to take our pic so we did the best we could do... very scary pic if you ask me! We had a great time lounging by the pool and went out for sushi and wine on Saturday night. I am loving all my visitors lately!

Robin is no dog person and Tyrone LOVED her. He kept making circles around and around the pool with his bone in this mouth. Then he would come right up to her and stare her down.

Drew got in at 4am from Charleston and at 9am Sunday I sent him off to help run Clemson's basketball camp. This boy LOVES camp! He has had his stuff packed for an entire week. When we go on vacation I cannot even get him to pack until the night before. MEN! So he is off working camp this week while I am home. He called last night to say he had Clemson's head football coach- Dabo Swinney's 2 kids on his league. Too cool! The funny thing is that Madison and Bless are also at Clemson camp this week. They went for tennis though.

not thrilled to have his pic taken after 4 hours of sleep....

Big weekend fun!

Drew and I had an awesome weekend with friends! We went to dinner on Friday night and out to some fun bars after with our friends Roger & Mary and Brent & Whitney. We love having our friends living back in SC!!! At the end of the night I convinced Drew to swing by Krispy Kreme for some late night eating. WHAT NOT TO DO WHEN YOU ARE ON A DIET!!!! We didn't realize it was national donut day and they were giving out a free donut to everyone until midnight. We showed up at 11:45 and waited until 12:30 ...It truly amazes me what people will do for free food. I refused to leave after I smelled the hot d-nuts. So we made the best of our waiting and got into costume!

On Saturday morning my friend Rena came in to town to visit. I love having teachers as friends! She is off this summer and has already come twice to visit! I love her like a sister and we always have a blast together. We spent Saturday by the pool all day and Sunday on the lake with Ben, Brent and Whitney.

Drew and I have been dying to try this hole in the wall they just built by our house... JIMMY DAWGS! The sign says Hot Buns and Beer so we knew it had to be good. Rena loves hot dogs as much as I do so we knew she would get a kick out of it. Food terrible, atmosphere...hilarious!

Concerts, Concerrts, Concerts....

Drew and I have been concert fools lately! I have never been to so many concerts until I met Drew. He LOVES them!!! We have been to the Police, Dave Matthews (twice), Kenny Chesney (3 times), Hootie and the Blowfish (twice), Sister Hazel, Sugarland (twice), Elton John, and several more. We can now add Snoop Dogg to the list!

I was in National Harbor, MD a few weeks ago for the Choice Hotel Show. They don't normally give us vendors tickets to the shows but my buddy Rick Patel go me and my coworker Alice in to see the B52's! Love Shack, baby love shack....

me, Rick, and Alice. For some reason we are sticking our tongues out????

They had light up necklaces and cool shades for us to wear!
Before the show we went down to the water and acted crazy with this statue thing!

The weekend after my MD trip Drew and I headed to the Greenville Crawfish Boil. There were several bands that played but we were there to see Snoop Dogg! I LOVED Snoop back in my high school days. I knew every word to every song. Unfortunately after 15 years I remembered every 3rd word.

tons of people were there!

Drew and I and our enormous beers
Next concert was a few days later... Kenny Chesney!

he flew over the crowd when he made his entrance

We went to the concert with Brent and Whitney. We had seats basically on the floor but we spent most of our time hanging with them in the suite they had for their clients. Now that is a way to watch a show. Your own bathroom, unlimited drinks, and comfy chairs!
