We celebrated Sloane's baby dedication last Sunday. It couldn't have been more perfect. We had 21 people there to help us celebrate! Here are the pictures from the church.

Mother's Day... My first!
We went to TN last weekend to celebrate Mother's Day! I was so excited this year and couldn't wait for the day to get here! After so much pain to become a mother this was the icing on the cake. My dad just had open heart surgery so I think it got his spirits up to see Sloane as well.

Sloane is focused on Charlie the bulldog in the left corner. Remember he is obsessed with Sloane!

Sloane flirted with my dad all weekend. It was really hysterical. My poor dad looks like he has an enormous belly here. He would kill me for putting this pic up! He has 30 pounds of water weight from the surgery. Poor Grandad! Drew gave him about 30 T-shirts and he is sporting one here from Clemson. I thought he was a TN fan? hmmm...

Sloane meets the Berry Family...
A few weekends ago we took a VERY long car ride to MS to celebrate a surprise 50th birthday party for my Aunt Margaret. It was the first time for my Grandmother to meet Sloane as well as all several of my aunts, uncles, and cousins. A crawfish boil was the theme.

Uncle Joey, Mimi, random, and Great Aunt Kendahle
Sloane has started to pull up her shirt or dresses a lot lately. It is funny when she has a bare belly. I have been keeping her in bubbles lately b/c it is so hot and she gets mad b/c there is nothing to lift up :)
My cousin Brooke and Aunt Beth
My Mom's Mom, my grandmother, and Sloane's only Great Grandparent. My sweet Aunt Sue drove all the way from Houston so my Grandmother could meet Sloane. Thanks Aunt Sue!!!

It's FINAL
On Monday, April 26, 2010 our adoption became FINAL. It was such a special day for us. Drew's Mom joined as well. Like Sloane's birth it was a little nerve wracking for a few minutes. The judge was 45 minutes late and I kept worrying he would never show up! He did and ended up being the nicest man. At the end when he is supposed to announce everything is final he told us to wait and called my MIL back into the chambers. She came out in his robe and got to say to saying ... "the State of SC hear by grants you this adoption"... It was really special.

After it was final! We were so excited!
