A Weekend of Granthams- Part 2

And for the final Grantham party my Mom and I hosted Rena's Graduation party at the farm last Saturday night! The theme was BBQ and Brews! Drew and Matt even surprised Rena and I by showing up. Congrats Rena... we are so proud of you!!!!

Rena and I

Andy (mom's new child... he lives up the street and takes care of everything around the farm for Mom) , me, Gram (my mother), and Drew. My Mom named herself Gram about 2 years ago. She told Drew and I she wanted her grandchildren to call her that one day. I'm sure we were drinking wine :) From then on Drew has always called my Mom GRAM!

A weekend of Granthams Part 1

Last weekend was Hope's (Rena's sister) wedding weekend. We started Friday night with a lingerie shower in Knoxville at the downtown Marriott and then went out for her bachelorette party. On Saturday (very sleepy girls) Rena, Tracy, and I hosted a bridal lunch for her at Dad and Sara's house. Thank goodness for Sara b/c Rena and I were so tired we were pretty much worthless. Congratulations HOPE! Thanks again Sara for all your help and for the beautiful setting. It was perfect!

Deck Day 100 or so it seems...

Yes Mr. and Mrs. Cawood we will have your porch done in 2 weeks or less. Well ,we are going on almost 3.5 weeks of perfect weather and it looks like this. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Maybe I should build decks. Show up at 9, 10, or sometimes 11. Leave by 2 pm. What a life these guys have!!! I have been out of town since last Thursday and won't be returning until this Friday. Thank goodness for my sweet husband b/c I have LOST it and I am not even there. Can we say PATIENCE... The heck with that word....I HAVE NONE!

USC vs FURMAN

Last week Drew and I went to the Carolina vs Furman baseball game at the Greenville Drive stadium. They had an alumni event at our favorite Liberty Tavern before so Drew had a blast seeing old pals.

I'm in Carolina colors. Drew??? hmmm. I went to TN and he went where? Very interesting....

Downtown Alive

Every Thursday night Greenville has Downtown Alive .. a different live band plays every week...lots of fun! It reminds me of my fun times in K-Vegas when the girls and I would go to Sundown in the City. I might not be with ya ladies but at least I am thinking about you at Greenville's equivalent. :)

Artisphere 2008

It was beautiful in SC yesterday! Drew and I headed downtown to enjoy the weather and hang with our friends at Artisphere! Every year Greenville hosts the event downtown for artists from around the US to come out to do shows and display their art. Drew's compay did all the event staffing this year! He has such great employees that he got to play while they worked :)

Deck- DAY 1

Goodbye deck HELLO 250 SF of usable living space! We are having a 3 season porch built onto our house! When we bought the house we were so excited about the large deck. Well times have changed.. we cannot use it b/c Dumb and Dumber are all over us anytime we walk outside. We will soon be able to have dinners outside without having to deal with them..ahh yeah!. No worries they will also reap the benefits... they will now have a cool place to stay in the summer and a warm place in the winter. The second advantage is for my sanity...I am SOOOO tired of cleaning up 99 pounds of dog hair inside my house. Drew spoils the dogs rotten every time I leave home. Mom is gone... COME ON IN!!! They have a large slumber party every time I hit the road. You could say I am slightly obsessive compulsive when it comes to the cleanliness of the house. When I am home I am constantly following Drew and the dogs around with a dust buster. Now our house will be a much happier place b/c MOM can stop freaking out over dirt and dog hair! Dumb and Dumber's new life will now be one outside!

Our gifted dog child! Some how the idiot got in between the deck boards and could not get out.
The smarter of the 2 just stands and watches.
Construction zone!

They say 2.5 weeks and it will all be done! Thanks goodness I am leaving town! I might have to be committed if not :)

THE MASTERS

On Monday Drew and I went to the Masters practice round in Augusta. We had soooo much fun! Drew and I were too lazy to go at 5am like dad and Sara but we still made it in time to see some great players. The course is the most beautiful course I have ever seen.

Big Weekend Fun

Drew and I had a packed weekend of fun. Drew surprised me on Friday night with tickets to Jerry Seinfeld in Charlotte! We got a fabulous hotel donwtown and had so much fun! One of our first dates was to Jerry Seinfeld and that was exactly 2 years ago...

Jerry talking about how he flipped his car over!

On Sunday my dad and Sara came to visit! Sara hadn't been downtown so we had fun showing her the Reedy River and all the cool things downtown has to offer.
Sara owned Pope's nursery in Knoxville so we got some professional help from her and my dad in the yard. I love having parents who love to work in the yard!!! That is one thing I dislike about as much as cleaning toilets!
